DEREK WATSON

150 Grand St.
Derek Watson's solo exhibition featured at 150 Grand St. in Brooklyn, NY, focused on the relationship between physical and auditory space. In this piece, the viewer becomes the sound, traveling through the environment, becoming fully engulfed within. Sound does not exist if it doesn't have something to travel through.

As you move around the installation, sounds and visuals change depending on where you are to create a feeling of floating within sound. Through interactive light and three-dimensional sound design, Watson sends the viewer through a truly immersive experience of sound and visuals, all set to an original score composed by the artist Subaquatic.

Tommy Hilfiger x Zendaya
In the Tommy Hilfiger x Zendaya experiential NYC pop-up shop Watson collaborated with a team to completely transform the Fifth Avenue flagship into a vintage wonderland with interactive experiences that included palm readings, lectures, aura photography, and a retro arcade. He was also responsible for curating the playlists that accompanied this unique retail experience.
